And thus spake the People

And thus spake the People

Hiya!
Thanks for popping in today.

Went to bed last night fully expecting Trump to win.
Woke up to the news that he had.
There you go. The American people have spoken
with their ballots.
We shall see how it all plays out....

Whether you agree with the result,

or don’t

is neither here nor there.
It is what it is, and only time will tell.

I for one am glad at least that all that ugly, divisive campaigning
is finally over;
it really was so below-the-belt and un-English.
I was staggered almost daily at these people and their behaviour.
The way they slammed each other and tried to annihilate each other. Very unpleasant.

Definition of Divisive: tending to cause disagreement or hostility between people.

No shit Sherlock!

I was fortunate enough to attend a very uplifting and inspirational Bernie Sanders rally in Monterey, California during the summer.
Now THAT’s what I call a great politician.
But hey. Opinions are like noses - everybody has one.

Vamos a ver, as the Mexicans say. And they sure will.

I made this Statue of Liberty art using our
Liberty Stencil

and shaving foam with Distress Reinkers.

Really like it.
It’s a one-off, an original.
The shade in the shaving foam was pure fluke.
But I think a lot in life is like that:
more luck than judgement.

Personally, there’s so much in this world that I struggle with.
So much makes me so sad I could weep.
And I KNOW I’m not alone in that.

So am I going to waste energy on who’s President of the USA?
Can I control it?
Can I change it?
Will my sixpence worth help the cause?
Precisely.

NOT A JOT.

So I shall keep my own counsel,
I shall not share my opinion.
(Except with Dave. We’ll have a right old chinwag about it!)

I shall not judge those who didn’t do as I would have done.

In the words of Benjamin Franklin:
“I will speak ill of no man and speak all the good I know of everybody”

Love & Hugs,
Barb
