The Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge,  a variant of the Galaxy S6 is also known as Samsung Galaxy S6 edge SM-G92 and is a successor to 2014's Galaxy S5. It is made from glass and metal instead of plastic, is less than 7mm thick and according to Samsung, is not expected to bend. Made of a solid metal frame with Gorilla Glass 4 on both sides, the Galaxy S6 Edge is slim, sophisticated, and has a lightweight.

Like the Galaxy Note Edge, the Galaxy S6 Edge has a display that is curved, which creates an  additional screen that can be used for notifications. At the curved edges, users get notified when a favorite contact calls or sends a message.
