Troubleshooting The Computer Does Not Want To Boot

Problems that are often found on the computer boot process is imperfect or process that stalled in the middle of the road. As long as the problem lies in the Windows operating system, then reinstall indeed is the easiest way. But this way at least favored many people because the process is time consuming and troublesome. Before doing so or before you take it to a technician, it is better you try several ways that pointed out.

Safe Mode

You could try booting through Safe Mode. To display the Safe Mode, for users of Windows 7, you must restart the PC, and immediately press the F8 key. Later will display menu options, one of which will display the Safe Mode option. If this can make you go into Windows, it means that the problem lies with the drivers or applications that make a crash or can also contract the virus.

However for Windows user 8.x, the trick is somewhat different. To get into Safe Mode, you can follow the way of the link below.

Help from CD/DVD

If Safe Mode still can not solve the problem (for users of Windows 7), you can try using the help installer Windows CD/DVD. You can do a boot from here and do a repair of Windows.

If it finds a message written "bootmgr is missing", you can go to the command prompt and type Bootrec.exe, and then restart/fixboot.

Booting from Linux

If the way number two still do not solve the problem, try using the help of CD Linux such as Ubuntu or Linux Mint (could also use other Linux distros). Do a boot from here and see whether the system can work well. If successful entry into the Linux operating system smoothly, means there is problem on Windows, and reinstall the solution should be done. If there is still a problem on Linux, means the issue is present on the hardware.
