an anniversary and a weekend wish
Its been a bit mushy around here this week!
Weve celebrated our wedding anniversary.
Twelve years since we snuck off to the bahamas and made our vows.
And its gotten better each year, truly.
Love you, hon.
D. surprised me with an Aritzia sweater and Fossil watch I didnt even know he knew I wanted,
that clever man,
AND a huge stash of sugar-free dark chocolate -
**confession time**
I keep a desk drawer just for goodies!
Does anyone else have a candy stash??
Since we married on his birthday (LONG story),
he got his long-awaited projector from the darlings and I.
Truthfully, its a bit of a sneaky present,
since I am as excited to remove the current giant black box from our family room
as he is to watch 10 foot hi-def car chases!

Last year HeyMatthew and I started a tradition of making a piece of art each time we celebrate our wedding anniversary. Weve only been married for two years so there isnt much to brag about at this point BUT our piece from this year is AMAZING!! We started brainstorming about what we would make a few weeks before our anniversary and eventually decided to pull leaves, sticks, and flowers from our yard and make a collage! We dont plan on living in this house for more than another year or so, so we thought it would be nice to always have pieces of our first yard as a married couple. Here are a couple of shots from the process. Please excuse the fact that these are from my iPhone.
