Another Christmas Past
Another Christmas Past
What a wonderful Christmas it was! We were able to visit all our family despite the crazy snow. We had lots of fun eating delicious food, building snowmen, exchanging presents, playing, and relaxing. Here are a random selection of photos (if I shared ALL the ones I liked, this post would be a mile long!)...

Now that it is over, I can share some of the things I made. In the next couple days I will do a post about the moss terrariums that I made, plus a few other fun things.
One more thing! Please look on my side bar, I have some new links near the top. Handmade toys and other handmade children items such as clothes, decorations, etc., are in danger of becoming illegal to sell, unless makers like me pay possibly thousands of dollars to have our products tested. This new law will put a lot of small business owners out of business, not to mention, it would be so horrible not to be able to buy unique, handmade items for the kids in my life. Hopefully this law will be amended in some way that will still keep childrens items safe, but allow makers of handmade toys and clothes to keep on creating and selling. Click on the links in my side bar for more information and to see how you can help!

| Buongiornissimo , ci siamo , anche per quest anno è arrivata la vigilia di Natale .... Per noi del sud è il momento più importante perché stasera ci sarà il " Cenone ".... In pratica ci sediamo a tavola stasera e ci alziamo direttamente il 26 .... ahahahahaha rido , ma più o meno è proprio così ..... Oggi voglio farvi gli auguri con questo post ...... Per loccasione indosso un tubino verde drappeggiato perfetto per essere abbinato alla mia nuova e bellissima giacca !!!!! Questo bellissimo pezzo lho acquistato durante " VintageMania " .... Mi sono imbattuta nello stand di " Mima Handmade " e fu subito amore .... Era lì .... appeso , tutto sbrilluccicoso , morbido , e con quel fiocco .... Amore prima vista .... Ho conosciuto Erminia , la stilista , la creatrice .... Che donna ragazzi , simpatica , attiva , frizzante ..... lei produce in piccole serie o pezzi unici ( come la mia giacca) perché acquista volutamente materiali , tessuti , perline , minuterie di fine serie o collezioni passate .... Tutto rigorosamente fatto a mano !!!! Qui potete visitare la sua pagina . Noi stiamo già pensando a progetti futuri... Sempre a Vintagemania ho acquistato anche il cappello realizzato da Simona Bandini , " Madame S" il suo ormai un brand collaudato .... acquisto regolarmente e si è occupata dei miei look anche durante la scorsa settimana della moda milanese . Anche Simona crea tutto a mano , serie limitata o pezzi unici .... , scegliendo materiali e tessuti pregiati .... Un talento innato non vi è creazione della quale io non mi innamori ..... e posso garantirvi la qualità dei materiali ..... Per gli scatti ringrazio Giuseppe De Francesco che nonostante i tanti impegni ha trovato il tempo di accontentarmi , "perché io voglio solo Lui ...." Le sue foto "parlano" e ringrazio Gigi Tropea per la location ..... La splendida location che vedete è parte degli addobbi natalizi del miglior store multibrand di Catania " Gigi Tropea " . Answers to the Sandy Hook tragedy found in the Christmas Season
On the VERY SAME DAY of the school shooting last week, a group of pilots for an organization called "Pilots for Kids" quietly visited and distributed toys and stuffed animals to sick kids at the Phoenix Childrens Hospital.

I have done this for the past several years. It has always been rewarding, but this year was particularly poignant, as each of us had witnessed in helpless horror the tragedy unfolding on the news that morning. We had no choice but to put on our happy faces and do our best to bring a little joy into several innocent, suffering, sweet little lives.
We would have done it anyway, regardless of the days news.

While a few sick, evil deeds are daily splashed across the headlines, MILLIONS of GOOD, BEAUTIFUL deeds are quietly being performed around the world. MILLIONS are daily bringing comfort, JOY, and a smile to a childs face.

I am privileged to do this once a year. But DAILY, around the globe, others voluntarily perform these heroic deeds, for no other reason than to help others in their needs.
You dont need to be a Christian to ingest these words of wisdom:

My friend Terry, former coworker, pilot and regular reader of this blog, went to the very same Sandy Hook grade school. His brothers children were in school that day. PRAISE GOD, they were able to escape unharmed (see pic above).
PLEASE PRAY FOR THEIR HEALING!

We live in a free society. We can take precautions, but, sadly, this will happen again. It is easy to be distracted by the awful headlines, get discouraged, become fearful of the world outside our own doors, and fall into despair.
Nevertheless, I say again, GOOD MARCHES ON.

In the midst of this tragedy, let us not forget the spirit of the season. Whether Christian, Muslim, Jew, atheist, or otherwise, I bid each and every one of you....
PEACE ON EARTH, GOOD WILL TOWARD MAN.
Twas 11 days before Christmas, around 9:38 when 20 beautiful children stormed through heavens gate. Their smiles were contagious, their laughter filled the air. They could hardly believe all the beauty they saw there. They were filled with such joy; they didnt know what to say. They remembered nothing of what had happened earlier that day. “where are we?" asked a little girl, as quiet as a mouse. “This is heaven" declared a small boy. "We’re spending Christmas at Gods house”. When what to their wondering eyes did appear, but Jesus, their savior, the children gathered near. He looked at them and smiled, and they smiled just the same. Then He opened His arms and He called them by name. And in that moment was joy, that only heaven can bring those children all flew into the arms of their King and as they lingered in the warmth of His embrace, one small girl turned and looked at Jesus face. And...as if He could read all the questions she had He gently whispered to her, "Ill take care of mom and dad. “then He looked down on earth, the world far below He saw all of the hurt, the sorrow, and woe, then He closed His eyes and He outstretched His hand, “Let My power and presence re-enter this land! “May this country be delivered from the hands of fools” “I’m taking back my nation. Im taking back my schools! “Then He and the children stood up without a sound. “Come now my children let me show you around. “Excitement filled the space, some skipped and some ran. All displaying enthusiasm that only a small child can. And I heard Him proclaim as He walked out of sight, “in the midst of this darkness,” I AM STILL THE LIGHT."
